SPORTS: Wayne Rooney has decided to quit Man United’

Wayne Rooney has reportedly made it clear that he is ready to leave Manchester United. Whether that means he will leave next week for China or remain at United until the summer, remains to be seen.

According to Daily Mirror, Rooney will leave before Tuesday’s Chinese Super League transfer deadline, saying that ‘United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has given Rooney’s agent Paul Stretford the go-ahead to secure his client a lucrative move to the Chinese Super League’. He may have played his final game for United after notching 250 goals in 549 appearances. They say: ‘Sources close to Rooney insist it is unlikely that he will move to China before next week’s deadline. He also has interest from Major League Soccer in America, while Everton are keen to re-sign him but his £230,000-a-week basic wage is prohibitive.

Jose Mourinho's words;
"I don’t want him to leave but what I can guarantee is that if one day Wayne leaves the club it is not because I want him to leave. I would never push a legend of this club to another destiny.’

“You have to ask him if he sees himself staying in the club for the rest of his career or sees himself moving. It is not a question for me because I am happy to have him. I was very open with you in the answer. I don’t want him to leave.”
